The nature of strategic sourcing is that operations move.  The transition into a new sourcing arrangement, and the equally critical exit from the old sourcing arrangement is a fundamental element of the sourcing lifecycle.

This course considers the issues, challenges, risks and opportunities associated with people, systems, processes and assets all of which need to be managed.  It then goes on to explore the process of transition and exit, following the guidelines set out in international standards ISO 37500 and ISO 30105, to provide learners with the knowledge that will need to oversee arrangements.

The course shows learners how to use forward planning to ensure the success of transition and exit, including key contract tools and provisions that will address key issues.

The course also considers the governance of transition and exit and provides an example of a governance structure and the various roles and responsibilities they may be required.

There is an online multiple choice quiz for learners to review their learning and  a downloadable Study Guide containing work-based learning questions that will support the transfer of their learning from the course into the workplace and enable their further development.
